Kids love to dress up in costume, not just on Halloween, but on any day at any time. Adults honestly don’t do enough of dress up. Just think back to when you were a kid and you got to be a policeman, or a ballerina, or an astronaut, even if just for a few hours. For that time, you were transported to another time and place. Couches became old steam trains, kitchen floors became dance stages, and tree houses were remote space outposts.
So this month, as Halloween approaches, let yourself go a little bit. If you have kids of your own to play dress up with, do so. If not, do some dress up on your own. It may seem a little silly at first, but I’m sure you’ll end up having fun if you really go for it.
