A little back story here. I heard Seth Godin speak at the 2011 Chick-fil-a Leadercast and have read several of his books in the year since that time. I highly recommend them to anyone who has things they want to accomplish in life but just needs a boot firmly planted in their backside to get going with it. Well, the good news is that even after reading several of his books, the boot in my backside was still not strong enough until I received a blog update from his website The Domino Project. He posts intriguing thoughts he has on the publishing industry and highlights new and innovative ways to get ideas out there.
The post that really resonated with me was about this new (to me) website that he was using to garner funds for his latest book.
I quickly jumped online to Kickstarter.com and set up an account. I got a bit hung up as I was setting up the project when it asked me for my website. I have Facebook and Twitter accounts, but then so does most of the civilized(?) world. I needed something to call my own and that wouldn't get cluttered up with countless updates, funny cat videos, etc.
So I found Weebly and set up my site here. I dug up the only domain that I could think of...outermountain.com. More on that later...
