What would you do with that extra day? Love more? Play more? Laugh more?
Why not do that today?
Your challenge today is to live like you got an extra day.

Tomorrow is NOT the 29th of February, but what if it was? Think about it. You get a full extra day in your life every four years. What would you do with that extra day? Love more? Play more? Laugh more? Why not do that today? Your challenge today is to live like you got an extra day.

Start with some of our closest neighbors in Central America and travel around the world from there. If you need some help, check out this link or Wikipedia. Today I want you to activate your brain a little bit. Find a thought provoking question and try to answer it honestly and completely. I found a bunch on thoughtquestions.com. My favorite one so far is:
If you can answer that in one word, more power to you, because I am having trouble narrowing it down to one word. Good luck! If you could make a film that would end up being nominated for an Oscar, what would it be about? Would it be a feature or a short? Documentary or drama? Animated or live action? Now go make that movie! Photo Credit: Jeff Prieb via sxc.hu A few weeks ago I challenged you to be a kid. Today I'm going to be more specific and have you draw a picture. Use crayons, colored pencils, markers, paints, whatever you want. If you want to, scan the picture when you're done and share it on the Facebook page. Photo Credit: Thomas Pate via sxc.hu I promised at least one new poem this week and I made sure to deliver. I can't say this is my best work of poetry ever, but it's new and I need feedback on it. Please enjoy "Blue": Blue Under sky of purest blue I wait for the blue in my life To disappear Under night darkened by thoughts Of happier times past I see the snow begin to glow The moon peaks through clouds And turns to an ocean Sparkling waves winking back at me I let my mind wander Out onto those breakers and hope For better things to come Wake to the bellowing Alarm in my face, neon numbers Flashing their violet hue Morning paper hits the door And I see today will be no better Raindrop-37 degrees Photo Credit: olly bennett via sxc.hu This is not what you might think based on the title. Today your challenge is to break out a board game. I'm not talking about playing The Game of Life on your iPad or Wii or even pulling up a game of chess online. No, today you actually have to go to the closet, pull out one of those old boxes that's falling apart at the corner, go over the directions and play the game on the physical board. Checkers and chess are OK as long as you have to pick up the pieces in your hands to move them. Other board games are cool too and if you want to take the time to play a full game of Monopoly, good for you. Extra credit for this challenge if you play something like the Royal Game of Ur, or Mancala. |
